Revamping Step #1… Values
Whether for good or bad, we all have values. In order to be successful at what we want to do, we have to work, and while working we have to be within our own value system. Yes, even those that I don’t agree with, or feel like are the destruction of this world around us have their own values, they just are the anthisis of mine. I make public here my personal values, which will allow you to hold me accountable.
I thought hard about this, but I may have left something off, therefore I retain the right to add/edit as new things pop to mind.
My life values that I apply to my blogging:
- I value everyone’s right to have their opinion.
- I will not attack you because your opinion on a matter is different than mine.
- I will keep and open mind.
- I will not think you are wrong just because you are different. I will listen in earnest and make my own decision.
- I respect life.
- I have an opinion of all aspects therein, ranging from an opinion on pro-choice, pro-life, stem cell research, plagerisim, art theft, etc.
- I respect the environment.
- I do everything I can to educate on and live a green life.
- I respect people’s private, public, artistic, and intellectual property.
- I do not steal, plagerize, copy, etc.
- I give all credit where credit is due.
- I know I am human and make mistakes.
- I will do everything in my power to correct them as soon as I am aware of the problem.
- While I strive for perfection, I know I will never attain it, so I just do the absolute best that I can.
- I will agree to disagree agreeably with you.
- I may voice my opinion; but that is all it is, an opinion.
- I will not gossip, and if I am speculating, I will make that clear.
- I will make clear if there is any sort of benefit from any blog (or posting) I make (be that financial, or any other way).
- My blogs are transparent. I do at times use them to post ads or reviews, but you always know if I have been financially compensated for such.
- I will always be creative, and try to have a sense of humor about life.
- I am certain no one wants to read a dark and gloomy blog all the time, but there are times where I am down too, and it might eek it’s way through on occassion.
I feel certain I can abide by these rules. I invite everyone to police me. If you find I am breaking one of these personal rules, you have my permission to call me on it!
